Questions, answered

Who is fluentz for?
Spanish speakers who already get by in English (B2 or so) and want to sound precise, natural and confident at C1 and C2. If you can hold a conversation but still translate in your head, this is for you. Below B2 we will tell you honestly during onboarding.
Is the CEFR level an official certificate?
No. fluentz estimates your level on the CEFR scale from your exams, exercises and recordings, using the official descriptors as the rubric. It prepares you and tracks you; it does not certify you. Use it to know when you are ready for an official exam, not instead of one.
How is speaking graded?
You record in the browser. We transcribe the audio with word timestamps, compute fluency metrics deterministically (speech rate, pauses, fillers), run a pronunciation assessment, and then an AI examiner scores the recording against a CEFR rubric and explains every point. Every recording is kept, so you can hear yourself a month later.
Do I need a card to start the 7-day trial?
No. Every new account gets 7 days of everything, no card required. When the trial ends your data stays and you can keep reading your lessons and dashboards; AI-graded practice resumes when you subscribe.
What happens to my recordings and my data?
They stay private in your account: recordings, transcripts, answers and evaluations are never shared with other learners. You can export everything or delete your account from Settings → Account. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
